Love Island producer Lifted Entertainment is going to lay off people.
We hear that between 15 and 20 roles at the ITV Studios production outfit are at risk of redundancy and that a consultation has been launched. The number represents around 10% of the 160-strong Lifted Entertainment operation.
Lifted, run by Richard Cowles, also produces ITV giants Saturday Night Takeaway, I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, The Voice and My Mum, Your Dad, along with BBC quiz show University Challenge. It makes Love Island in the UK, and Cowles is an executive producer with Mike Spencer on Peacock's US version.
