First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Wednesday received the honorary doctorate in Education, honoris causa, from Palawan State University.

Araneta-Marcos, a lawyer and professor, was also the speaker at the graduation ceremony.

The wife of President Ferdinand Marcos graduated from Ateneo de Manila University and completed her postgraduate training in criminal procedure at New York University.

Her current interests lie mainly in the fields of education, health and culture.
