Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo continued to garner praise from politicians for his double gold medal win at the Paris Olympics.

Senator Loren Legarda congratulated Yulo for winning two gold medals at the Summer Games and praised his perseverance and hard work to achieve this Olympic feat.

Yulo made Olympic history by winning the gold medal in the men's vault this past weekend. It was his second gold medal after winning the men's floor exercise a few days earlier.

"Congratulations to the first two-time Filipino Olympic gold medalist, Carlos Yulo! After capturing the world's attention on the floor exercise, you once again mesmerized us with your championship performance on the vault!" Legarda said in an Instagram post.
