Influencers plead not guilty in Instagram trafficking lawsuit
Reality stars from some of Britain's biggest TV shows have pleaded not guilty to charges relating to online investment schemes on social media.
According to the BBC, which reported from the court yesterday, high-profile figures including The Only Way is Essex's Lauren Goodger, Love Island's Biggs Chris and Geordie Shore's Scott Timlin entered not guilty pleas at Southwark Crown Court. There are nine defendants in total, eight of whom have pleaded not guilty and one did not attend the hearing, the BBC reported.
Given the huge backlog at the court, the trial date has been set for 2027. That is the earliest the court could hear the case.
