Lucy Lawless will reprise her role as Lucretia in Spartacus: House of Ashur.

According to Deadline, Lawless will return in a guest role for Starz's next Spartacus series and will "play a key role in setting up the alternate 'what if' timeline."

Lawless originated the role in Spartacus: Blood and Sand and reprised it for the prequel series, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Lucretia was the wife of Quintus Lentulus Batiatus (John Hannah), the owner of the gladiator training school where Spartacus (Andy Whitfield) was eventually housed.

Lucretia was killed at the end of Spartacus: Blood and Sand after Spartacus led a rebellion against House Batiatus. However, Spartacus: House of Ashur follows an alternate timeline, one in which Lucretia survived.
