“Hollow Flowers” joins a Luminosa production program that also includes “Ernesto Che Guevara, un Canto Incluso,” a documentary that revisits the legacy of Che Guevara’s thought in the contemporary world, and “The Beauty of the Instant,” a fictional feature film being presented at this year’s Sanfic Industria Ibero-American Work in Progress sidebar.
The “Hollow Flowers” series is currently in development and is part of a transmedia dark fantasy animation project for teens and adults. It will also include a short film, a video game and a comic. The series will have 20 episodes, each 15 minutes long. Yepes has already produced a teaser and a bible and is looking for potential partners for the different formats.
Early versions of “Hollow Flowers” have screened extensively at markets and festivals around the world, including Marché du Film, Ventana Sur, Fantastic Pavilion, Guadalajara, Weird Market and many more. A “Hollow Flowers” short film won the 2022 Unreal Engine Short Film Challenge.
