President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday (July 22) called on Congress to ensure the timely passage of the proposed P6.532 trillion peso national budget for 2025.

During his third State of the Nation Address (SONA), delivered at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City, Marcos said the proposed 2025 budget was prepared “with utmost care, dedication and meticulous attention.”
“We count on the cooperation of our colleagues in the legislature, not only to ensure that our proposed national budget is approved in the usual timely manner, but also that it is adhered to as scrupulously as possible,” he said.
Marcos expressed optimism that the proposed budget would be allocated to the implementation of “impactful” programs of government agencies.
