Mackenzie Shirilla High Speed Crash Video Released
Mackenzie Shirilla is serving a life sentence for the murders of her boyfriend and his friend in a fatal car crash. In July 2022, Shirilla, then 17, intentionally crashed her car into the side of a building in Strongsville, Ohio. The incident claimed the lives of her 20-year-old boyfriend, Dominic Russo, and his friend, Davion Flanagan, 19, who were in the vehicle.
During her trial, prosecutors alleged that Shirilla and Russo had a toxic relationship. In addition, she had threatened to crash the car while driving with her boyfriend before the accident. Other evidence from the fatal crash proved that the teen had intentionally driven her Toyota Camry into the Plidco building.
A judge reportedly found Mackenzie Shirilla guilty in August 2023 on 12 charges, including four counts of murder. She was later sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years.
