It looks like Madonna is making her way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a director.
Madonna Makes Surprise Appearance at Deadpool vs Wolverine Premiere
After reaching out to the Queen of Pop for permission to use her 1989 single "Like a Prayer" in Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds revealed that she gave "a great touch" to the sequence that quickly made it into the final cut.
"Let's also say up front that — Madonna does not just license the song, and that song in particular is not licensed," he said on SiriusXM. "So it was a big deal to ask and certainly a bigger deal to use it… We went down and met with her and showed her how it was being used and where and why."
Director Shawn Levy admitted that "it felt like meeting a royal family," while Reynolds said the meeting was "one of the greatest thrills of my life."
