As Metro Manila and nearby provinces grapple with severe flooding, former Vice President Leni Robredo and her team are on the road.
Robredo: Better results with 'calm, courageous' leadership
Robredo has mobilized her Angat Bayanihan volunteer network for rescue and relief operations for families affected by Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon.
The Angat Bayanihan Network, in collaboration with government and private sector partners, aims to provide relief to affected communities during the stormy weather. Food and shelter are also being rapidly distributed to those displaced by the floods.
“Angat Buhay is actively working with some of our partners to support rescue operations in the National Capital Region (NCR). In addition, we are working directly with different local government units to report immediate rescue needs in their areas,” she said in a Facebook post.
