Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's office said his Facebook and Instagram posts about the death of Ismail Haniyeh last week were deleted by parent company Meta.
The political leader of the Palestinian armed group Hamas was killed in Tehran on Wednesday in an attack attributed to Israel. Israel has not immediately commented on the incident.
Anwar posted a video showing the prime minister on a phone call with a Hamas official, expressing his condolences.
