The trailer (above) has been released for Marianna Brennand’s “Manas,” which will have its world premiere at Venice Days, a sidebar of the Venice Film Festival. Bendita Film Sales is handling worldwide sales.
The film is set on the island of Marajó in the Amazon rainforest. Marcielle lives with her father, mother and three siblings on the riverbank. Inspired by her mother's words, she idolizes her older sister who supposedly escaped her reality by "finding a good man" on the boats that sail the region.
