Robert Ace Barbers, chairman of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs and a Surigao del Norte Rep., said the Marcos administration's bloodless anti-illegal drug campaign has put an end to abuses committed by law enforcement against drug suspects.

Barbers said the Marcos government's anti-drug approach has been more effective and humane and has so far produced more than the desired results, without any extrajudicial killings.
“If the kampanya now hits the pan a few times, it could be a 'pitik bulag' in the area of maraming, or perhaps some kampag-anak, which the suspect suspects is in the hustisya,” Barbers said.
Barbers reportedly said the official tally showed that 6,229 drug gang members were killed during the Duterte administration, far lower than estimates by human rights groups, which put the number at more than 20,000.
