During a briefing at the Presidential Security Command in Manila, Marcos stressed the importance of health care in crisis situations, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children.
“Kung minsan nakakalimutan 'yan eh. But those in the evacuation areas will —kailangan meron silang clinic sa bawat evacuation center or at least merong umiikot na medical team (Sometimes that is left out. But for those in evacuation areas, there should be a clinic in each evacuation center or at least a medical team going around),” Marcos said.
The President said barangay health workers may be deployed to evacuation sites to conduct triage and initial assessment of evacuees while waiting for medical personnel.
