Marcos vows to stop agricultural smuggling to improve PH value chain
In a media interview Tuesday, Marcos Jr. said the government is trying to strengthen “every point” in the value chain to promote sustainable agricultural outcomes.
“Hopefully the marketing will be something like Kadiwa… inspired by the local government. But in between we make sure that… 'yung mga simpleng problema na hinarap natin 'yung mga rice smuggling, sugar smuggling, onion smuggling, 'yan titigil natin… Gagawin namin lahat para middelil 'yan', the president said.
He also mentioned that hoarders manipulate the price and supply of onions.
