The news came after it was announced this morning that the duo has been asked to write the script for Shadow Tiger, a feature film adaptation of Sharad Devarajan's comic strip.
Fergus and Ostby are no strangers to the comics world, having risen to prominence after writing Children of Men and Iron Man.
Alfonso Cuarón's dystopian science fiction film Children of Men, released by Universal in 2006, is an adaptation of P. D. James' 1992 novel of the same name. Set in a bleak future where two decades of global human infertility have brought society to the brink of collapse, the film follows Theo Faron (Clive Owen), a disillusioned bureaucrat, as he is unexpectedly tasked with protecting a miraculously pregnant woman, Kee (Clare-Hope Ashitey). Widely regarded as one of the greatest films of the 21st century, Children received three Academy Award nominations, including Best Adapted Screenplay, which Fergus and Ostby shared with Cuarón, David Arata, and Timothy Sexton.
