A new Megalopolis trailer has been released for the upcoming Roman Epic, directed and written by Francis Ford Coppola. The film was acquired by Lionsgate Studios in June 2024 and is set to hit U.S. theaters in September.

"Megalopolis is a Roman epic set in an imagined modern America," reads the official synopsis. "The city of New Rome is forced to change, leading to conflict between Cesar Catiline, a genius artist seeking a leap toward a utopian, idealistic future, and his adversary, Mayor Franklyn Cicero, who clings to a regressive status quo that perpetuates greed, special interests, and partisan warfare. Torn between them is socialite Julia Cicero, the mayor's daughter, whose love for Cesar has divided her loyalties, forcing her to discover what she truly believes humanity deserves."
The film's cast includes Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Kathryn Hunter, and Dustin Hoffman.
