The outlet reported that Lyle Menendez called 911 to report that someone had killed his parents. Authorities then arrived at the crime scene and questioned the Menendez brothers.
According to investigators, Lyle and Erik Menendez revealed that they were not home when the murders occurred. In addition, they discovered the bodies of the parents when they returned home. During the initial investigation, police believed that Jose may have been killed because of business. However, they soon began to suspect that the brothers could be responsible for the deaths of their parents.
