Metro Boomin and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes have both had huge 2024s so far. Superproducer Metro scored two No. 1 albums with Future (“We Don’t Trust You” and “We Still Don’t Trust You”). Coincidentally, less than a week before the latter project dropped in April, Cody had back-to-back career-defining nights at the biggest WrestleMania in history. Though he was pinned by the Rock on night one, he went on to win the title from Czar Roman Reigns (the Rock’s younger cousin), who was in the midst of a years-long championship run.
Metro Boomin and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Do Buddy Cop Routine in New 'Bad Blood' Video
The duo have come together for a new video promoting WWE's Bad Blood event, which takes place on October 5 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The clip sees the duo in buddy cop mode, "keeping an eye on" the venue. Metro laments that they both have to sit in a "broken down car" and asks the famous wrestler if they have to stay there until October. Cody, who lives in Atlanta, confirms Metro's fears as he looks at State Farm through binoculars.
In the new clip, the duo can still be seen in the car.
"Cody, we've been here since July and we still haven't seen anything," Metro says, disappointed. Rhodes responds, "You need to know what you're looking for, Metro." Metro goes full "Deadpool" and breaks the fourth wall as he looks straight into the camera and declares that he wants to "get out of this car." "Who are you talking to?" Rhodes then asks — rebuilding the fourth wall — as Future and Metro's GTA play in the background during the exchange.
