EXCLUSIVE: Indie film producers Arthur de Larroche and Micaela Wittman announced on Friday the launch of Manic, a new independent production company in the US.

The duo arrived to launch the banner following collaborations on the feature films Remy & Arletta and Clairevoyant, in which Wittman starred with De Larroche as director. In line with the duo’s previous films, Manic will focus on developing and producing young adult, female-led and genre-agnostic films, looking to cultivate fresh and untold passion projects with commercial appeal.
Currently, Manic has several films in various stages of development. One of them is Rager , an action horror film centered on an elite 444-year-old fraternity house, which former Disney+ executive Sam Mannetti (WandaVision, Loki) has signed on to produce. Second on the list is I Suck , a high-concept YA romance about a man who goes on an online date with a woman harboring a dangerous secret. And then there’s Night on the Town , an all-female buddy comedy about two broke twenty-somethings desperate for a good night in Los Angeles.
In a statement about the launch of his and Wittman's new company, De Larroche told Deadline: "MANIC is a meaningful name because it takes an element of our creative process that can be seen as a flaw and turns it into our superpower. It represents our drive and passion for making films."
