Michael Engleman, Chief Marketing Officer for Paramount+ Domestic and Paramount+ with Showtime, will be leaving Paramount Global later this month. He just announced his departure in an internal memo. (You can read it below.)
The news comes after rumors have been mounting in recent days that Paramount Global is set to make more layoffs next week, with August 13 rumored to be a possible date.
Co-CEO George Cheeks revealed in June that $500 million in cost savings had been identified as Paramount Global, which has a $14 billion debt load, looks to improve its balance sheet. As Deadline reported at the time, that means more layoffs for a company that has already undergone significant de-layering, restructuring and workforce reductions since the closing of the Viacom-CBS merger in 2019.
