SXSW Award-winning filmmaker James Morosini is set to bring his upcoming psychological horror film Mommy's Home to Lionsgate.

Mommy's Home tells the story of a young father whose family life is thrown into terrifying chaos by the resurrection of his mother. Sounds normal enough, right? Well, his mother has been cryogenically preserved since she was 24.
James Morosini will write and direct the film. Craig Flores, Dawn Olmstead and Anonymous Content are producers for Mommy's Home. David Levine, Garrett Kemble and Ryan Schwartz will executive produce for Anonymous Content. Scott O'Brien and Jon Humphrey will oversee the project for Lionsgate.
Morosini has already been praised for tackling estranged fathers in a "unique" way with the 2022 film I Love My Dad, so it makes sense that he's now going for estranged mothers.
