Presidential Legal Adviser and former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile agreed with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ban the operation of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
Enrile: POGO ban must not 'destroy' CEZA operations, offshore gaming
“If I were the president, and I agree with the president, I would ban POGO from this country,” Enrile said in an interview about an ambush after attending the House Committee on Public Order and Safety hearing on crimes linked to POGO on Wednesday.
“POGO is a money laundering operation,” Enrile added.
Enrile was accompanied by his daughter Katrina Ponce Enrile, director of the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA).
