Mo'Nique and Lee Daniels on 'Fighting for Friendship' | The Deliverance | Netflix
Lee Daniels' new horror film “The Deliverance” marks a reunion for the director and his Oscar-winning “Precious” star Mo'Nique after a years-long feud.
Despite the animosity that arose from Mo'Nique's public criticism of Daniels and "Precious" producer Oprah Winfrey, the actor never doubted they would work together again. "He's my friend," Mo'Nique told me Wednesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of "Deliverance" at Netflix's Tudum Theater.
"Have you ever had someone in your life where the chemistry was instant, but something happened that tore you apart, but you don't forget the heart of that person?" she continued. "You don't forget the purity of that person, and you say, 'I'm willing to fight for this friendship.'"
