MONSTERS: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez | Date Announcement | Netflix
Netflix has scheduled a September 19 premiere for Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, the second installment of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan's true-crime anthology series.
The streamer also released a 48-second teaser trailer, which begins with the words on-screen "On August 20, 1989, Lyle and Erik Menendez murdered their parents" as the two brothers drive up to the Menendez estate and walk inside. As they open the door, a lone gunshot is heard.
The series tells the story of the real-life brothers who were convicted in 1996 for the murder of their parents, José and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez.
