A new musical inspired in part by the Higgs boson and the discovery of the so-called God particle is coming to Broadway. David Henry Hwang and Suffs director Leigh Silverman are on the creative team.
Particle Fever – Documentary
The musical Particle Fever is in early development. A production timeline and casting details have not yet been announced.
Particle Fever is based on the 2013 documentary of the same name and features a book by Hwang (M. Butterfly, Yellow Face) with music and lyrics by Bear McCreary (TV series Battlestar Galactica, film Godzilla: King of the Monsters) and composer/lyricist Zoe Sarnak. Director Silverman was nominated for a Tony this year for Suffs and will direct this season’s Yellow Face , also from Hwang.
Producers Megan Kingery and Annie Roney announced this today.
