The cast and first-look photos for the Mutant: Year Zero movie have been revealed, teasing the upcoming animated film adaptation of the tactical adventure video game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. The project comes from Heroic Signatures, the studio behind Conan the Barbarian, Kull of Atlantis and Solomon Kane.

“We can’t wait for fans to get a glimpse of what we’ve been working on to bring Mutant: Year Zero to life as an animated feature,” producer Fred Malmberg said in a statement. “Our goal at Heroic is to continually challenge ourselves to create fresh, expansive experiences across media based on our adventurous characters and stories for both existing and new fans.”
Heroic Signatures has confirmed that Dolph Lundgren (Expend4bles, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom) and Ian McElhinney (The Outlaws, Game Of Thrones) will officially lead the voice cast of the Mutant: Year Zero film, which is now in production. The film will be directed and produced by Hasraf 'HaZ' Dulull, who began his career in video games and visual effects (The Dark Knight, Hellboy 2).
"Set in a post-apocalyptic world, an unlikely team of animalistic mutants, led by a witty duck and a surly boar, embark on a dangerous mission to retrieve a vital generator stolen from their sanctuary, the Ark," the synopsis reads. "Together, the band of scavengers uncover a deeper truth behind the Ark's divisions, confront the oppressive Elder regime, and discover the secrets that could change their dystopian existence."
