The chapter begins by revealing the backstory of the mysterious character seen at the beginning of the epilogue. After his family discovered his mutation, they treated him kindly in public, but locked him in an underground room in their home. He was locked in the room and tied up while he remained there, crying and begging for help.
But one day he heard his family screaming that the world was ending, and they threw him a loaf of bread as they ran away. Suddenly the house exploded, giving him the perfect opportunity to escape. As he wandered the streets he was surprised to see everyone working together with a smile.
The spoilers then turn their attention back to Uraraka, as she remembers Togas' last words and despairs over the fact that she was only alive because of Togas' death. Deku calls after her. However, she immediately wipes away her tears and asks him how he got there. He admits that he used one for all, because he knew she would probably be here again.
