NBA 2K25's MyGM mode looks to be getting a significant overhaul from the 2K24 version of the mode. While players will still be able to take on the role of an NBA General Manager, this year's iteration will delve deeper into the RPG aspect of the mode. Players will now choose a backstory for the created GM, which will determine the initial attributes of the created GM. Here are the attributes players can upgrade, as well as an explanation for each, as noted by Visual Concepts:
Additionally, different Perks are unlocked as players level up the created GM. Depending on the backstory chosen, unique Perks are equipped from the start. Additional Perks are then unlocked at levels 4, 8, 12, and 16. Level 12 is a milestone for GMs, as a specific ultimate Perk is unlocked depending on the backstory chosen. Once the level cap of 20 is reached, players can choose two more Perks.
At launch, there will be 55 Perks available in MyGM, with more revealed throughout the year.
