The last of the five major original late-night shows each week is cutting 24 hours from its schedule.
NBC is moving “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to four nights a week, the latest in a series of changes to the late-night daytime slot aimed at bolstering the programming’s economics as audiences shift away from linear TV viewing. CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" already have a schedule of four originals per week.
