NBI inmate released on medical grounds, lawyer denies ties to Teves
According to lawyer Raymond Palad, the allegations that Dera acted as a courier for Teves are false.
Authorities earlier arrested Dera with cash and firearms as he was about to return to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office in Manila around midnight on Wednesday.
Dera, a co-accused of arrested Senator Leila de Lima in a drug case, was caught outside the NBI detention facility. The arrested was reportedly accompanied by six NBI security personnel.
