Part 4 of Netflix's UNTOLD: The Murder of Air McNair will investigate the death of NFL star Steve McNair in an apparent murder-suicide committed by his girlfriend, Jenni Kazemi. The upcoming installment of the anthology documentary series is set to premiere on August 20, 2024, with the streaming giant dropping weekly episodes.
Steve “Air” McNair, former Tennessee Titans quarterback and NFL MVP, died on July 4, 2009, from a murder-suicide. McNair’s then-girlfriend Sahel “Jenni” Kazemi shot him multiple times before turning the gun on herself. Authorities concluded that Kazemi committed the crime due to financial problems and jealousy, and suspected that McNair was seeing another woman.
Steve McNair's cause of death was reportedly four gunshot wounds. He received two shots to the chest, one to his temple, and the last to the right side of his head. The incident occurred at McNair's apartment on Lea Avenue in Nashville. Meanwhile, Jenni Kazemi died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Authorities ruled their deaths a murder-suicide.
