Aaron Taylor-Johnson shows no mercy in a new trailer for Sony and Marvel's "Kraven the Hunter," which tells the origin story of the "Spider-Man" villain.
KRAVEN – New Trailer (HD)
The first new footage from the film to be released in over a year shows Taylor-Johnson's Kraven kicking ass and taking names in a variety of gruesome ways, including stabbing his opponents in the neck, trapping them in bear traps and pushing them through windows. As Johnny Cash's "The Man Comes Around" plays, Taylor-Johnson transforms from your average hitman into the fur-wearing villain that "Spider-Man" Kraven fans know and love.
In the film, Kraven's "complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), sets him on a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the world's greatest hunter, but one of the most feared," according to the official synopsis.
In addition to Taylor-Johnson and Crowe, “Kraven the Hunter” also stars Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola and Christopher Abbott. “Margin Call” filmmaker JC Chandor directs from a story by Richard Wenk (“The Equalizer” films) and a screenplay by Wenk, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Benjamin Wallfisch wrote the film’s music. Producers include Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and David Householter.
