"Mismatched cousins David and Benji reunite for a tour of Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd couple's old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history," the synopsis reads.
A Real Pain was originally scheduled for an October 18, 2024 release, but has been pushed back two weeks and will hit select theaters on November 1, 2024. The film will debut in the same month as major films including Tom Hanks' Here, Ridley Scott's Gladiator II, and Disney's Moana 2.
A Real Pain is written and directed by Eisenberg, who leads a cast alongside Culkin that includes Will Sharpe (The White Lotus), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing), Kurt Egyiawan (The Exorcist), Liza Sadovy (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), and Daniel Oreskes (Law & Order). It is produced by Emma Stone, Dave McCary, Ali Herting, Jennifer Semler, and Ewa Puszczyńska. This is the latest collaboration between Eisenberg and Stone, who previously worked together on the Zombieland franchise.
