Senate President Jinggoy Estrada on Tuesday (Aug. 13) renewed his call for the adoption of proposed measures that would provide equal financial incentives to athletes with and without disabilities.

“We are all equal, we are all equal. Our laws must treat everyone equally, especially when we aim to promote sports excellence,” he stated.
The senator made the call after the Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
During the Olympics, Estrada said, “pinatunayan ng mga nagsilahok nating mga atleta na kaya nilang makipagsabayan sa mga pinakamagagaling na mga manlalaro sa larangan na kanilang kinabibilangan.”
