Darcy introduced Status in an email sent today. This email will appear in recipients' inboxes each evening.
"Status draws from a deep well of sourcing and industry expertise, delivering hard-hitting reporting and unyielding analysis on the Fourth Estate, Hollywood and Silicon Valley," Darcy wrote. "There will be no sugarcoating, no pulling punches, no sparing sensitive egos — just the unvarnished truth about the companies and individuals that shape our world."
The newsletter will be a subscription offering, but will also seek advertising support. "Status is proudly independent and relies on the support of its readers," the email said.
