Vatican speaks out on controversial Olympic Games opening ceremony
Good news for NBCUniversal: The Paris Olympics got off to a great start with a big win at the opening ceremony on Friday.
According to Nielsen and Adobe Analytics, nearly 29 million people watched the spectacle.
That’s an increase of more than 60% from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed due to the pandemic. Three years ago, they drew just 17 million viewers on NBC platforms because they were held in empty stadiums.
