Francisco Paolo Ortega V, assistant majority leader of the House of Representatives and representative of La Union, dismissed speculation that an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte is being prepared.

“If you have crystal balls, but you are going to have to wait and see,” Ortega replied when asked about speculation that an impeachment suit against Duterte is being prepared.
“Tiningnan ko 'yung left, tiningnan ko 'yung right, pero wala naman po. We of course stick to the facts, we stick to the issues in the House of Representatives, at wala naman pong ganyan na napag-uusapan,” Ortega said.
The speculation arose following a social media post by former presidential spokesman Harry Roque suggesting that impeachment proceedings against Duterte were in the works.
