OpenAI's Potential $5 Billion Gap

An analysis by The Information found that OpenAI could lose as much as $5 billion this year due to the huge costs of running AI products like ChatGPT.
The company, whose market value was estimated at $80 billion in February, is likely to spend as much as $7 billion this year to train and operate its chatbot. That means it needs to raise more money even as the path to profitability becomes more unclear amid increased competition.
