The Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place on July 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. PT / 1:30 p.m. ET. In the United States, it will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock.
The full ceremony lasts about three and a half hours and includes multiple performances and the Parade of Nations, which for the first time takes place outside the stadium. The Olympic team for each country is instead announced as they travel by boat down the Seine on a 6km route that starts at the Austerlitz Bridge and ends at the Trocadero.
