The 2024 Oscar nominations have been announced, and like every year, there are plenty of surprises and no-shows to choose from.

While the past year has made room on the film front for looking at events like Barbie and Oppenheimer, also known as “Barbenheimer,” as well as major moments for beloved TV stars like This Is Us’ Sterling K. Brown and Superstore’s America Ferrera, it’s impossible to acknowledge all of the impressive achievements.

But there are some glaring snubs among this year’s nominations, ruling out nominations for stars from Past Lives, May December, Ferrari, and Priscilla, to name a few.
