Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal to Star in 'Othello' on Broadway
EXCLUSIVE: Deadline can reveal that Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal will be joined by fast-rising West End actress Molly Osborne, who will play Desdemona opposite them in the spring 2025 Broadway revival of Shakespeare's Othello.
When Washington and others saw Osborne's audition tape, they were so impressed that they immediately wanted to cast her.
Washington, who will soon be seen in Gladiator 2 opposite Paul Mescal, will play the title role, while Gyllenhaal, who currently stars in the series Presumed Innocent on Apple TV+, will take on the role of the manipulative Iago.
