The Outer Banks Season 4 Part 1 ending has piqued the interest of fans because of shocking revelations about JJ’s parents. JJ initially thought that Luke is his biological father, but in the season finale, Luke reveals the truth about his parents. On the other hand, Sarah, Pope, and other Pogues go to the dangerous crypt, putting their lives in danger. JJ Maybank assumes that Luke is his biological father and in the final moments goes on a mission to find him. He finds out that Luke is with Barracuda Mike and reaches the lighthouse. Then comes the unexpected confession moment, where Luke reveals that he is not JJ's biological parent. Furthermore, he also reveals that his mother is fake.
He names his real parents as the deceased Larissa Genrette and Chandler Groff. Luke explains why JJ ended up with him and says that before Larissa's passing, she wanted to protect her child from potential danger. So she gave JJ a look, since he was in safe hands. Unfortunately, he wasn't safe, considering how badly Luke treated him. Nevertheless, this revelation does show that JJ is a lunatic.
