Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), the church founded by fugitive religious leader Apollo Quiboloy, used the names of organizations seemingly unrelated to the church to collect money from individuals and corporations.

KOJC’s modus operandi was detailed in the criminal complaint filed by a former church member against Quiboloy and five of his faithful followers in Davao City. The document was cited extensively by the Court of Appeals in its order freezing the assets of Quiboloy, KOJC and the individuals and organizations affiliated with them.
The former KOJC member alleged that she and other full-time church workers were “forced to sell everything to raise money” under the threat of being “beaten with any object” and having Bible verses read out if they refused.
Quiboloy's subordinates allegedly ordered the complainant and other church employees to deny their actual ties to KOJC when they asked for money.
