Apple TV+ has finally shared the official Pachinko Season 2 trailer for the next installment of the multigenerational epic drama. The series is set to return on August 23, after more than two years since the first installment wrapped its 8-episode run.

"Based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name, it's a sweeping and deeply moving story of love and survival across four generations, told through the eyes of a remarkable matriarch, Sunja," the show's latest synopsis reads. "In Season 2, the parallel stories pick up in Osaka in 1945, where Sunja is forced to make dangerous decisions for her family's survival during World War II, and Tokyo in 1989, where Solomon explores new, humble beginnings."

The Season 2 trailer hints at the return of lead actors Minha Kim as teenage Sunja, Lee Min-ho as Hansu, Kaho Minami as Etsuko, Steve Sanghyun Noh as Isak, Anna Sawai as Naomi, Jin Ha as Solomon, and Oscar winner Youn Yuh Jung as an older Sunja. Sawai recently received her first Emmy nomination for her impressive performance in FX's Shogun. Also joining the cast for Season 2 are Soji Arai as Mozasu, Inji Jeong as Yangjin, Junwoo Han as Yoseb, Jung Eun-chae as Young Kyunghee, Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews, and Yu-na Jeon as young Sunja.
