Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said Thursday (Aug. 1) that he does not want corrupt immigration officials to take advantage of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to ban all Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

“Alam natin palabigasan ito,” Remulla complained.
“Curbing corrupt elements within the BID (Bureau of Immigration),” he noted.
For that reason, Remulla said, he has suspended the BI directive announced on July 24 ordering all foreign POGO workers to leave the country within 60 days.
