President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed an executive order institutionalizing the Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP).

Article 1 of EO No. 31 states that PH-OGP is a multi-stakeholder partnership responsible for overseeing and implementing the country’s obligations under the OGP.
“To further strengthen the engagement of government and non-government activists, there is a need to institutionalize the PH-OGP as a mechanism for implementing more effective and sustainable actions to address current societal concerns,” the new EO said.
Marcos Jr.'s directive also provides for the creation of the Steering Committee, which will serve as the policy and decision-making body for PH-OGP. The Steering Committee will be chaired by the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management.
