While Paramount Global is on the verge of closing a sales deal, the fate of its flagship streamer Paramount+ remains uncertain.

While some analysts have called for the SVOD platform to be shuttered, the New York Times recently reported that Paramount's most likely buyer, Skydance Media, instead plans to partner with "another major company" in some form of joint venture — in other words, the most talked-about proposal, the streaming bundle.

What that will look like is still unclear, but I want to say a word to Skydance CEO David Ellison if you're reading this: You'd be wise to think about consumer attitudes toward a potential partnership with Paramount.

A recent consumer study from consulting firm FTI Delta, shared exclusively with Variety Intelligence Platform, found that there is a significant opportunity for a Peacock-Paramount+ bundle. It was reportedly being explored back in February.
