Tensions in South China Sea: Philippines slams China's 'dangerous' actions | WION Pulse
MANILA, Aug 10 (Reuters) – The Philippines and China traded accusations on Saturday after their planes collided over a disputed area in the South China Sea.
The Philippine military strongly condemned the “dangerous and provocative actions” of the Chinese air force, while the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) said it had acted in a professional and legal manner.
It is the first time the Philippines has complained about dangerous actions by Chinese aircraft, as opposed to navy or coast guard ships, since President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. took office in 2022.
