BUDGET ALLOCATION FOR INDEPENDENT FILM
Pinewood Studios has plans to establish a dedicated production centre to support British filmmakers taking advantage of the UK’s recently introduced Independent Film Tax Credit (IFTC).
The UK government this morning gave the green light to the much-hyped IFTC, confirming that the support will be available to eligible films from October 30.
Pinewood has said the new film hub will include sound studios, production offices and workshop space specifically designed to support lower budget and independent films. Productions will also have access to the wider facilities at Pinewood Studios. The studio has said the facility will be powered by 100% renewable energy sources. The hub is due to open next year.
